Each mug is thrown on the wheel and once the piece is leather-hard it is trimmed and the handle (also pulled by hand NOT EXTRUDED) is attached. Care is taken to refine and smooth and then the design is applied with a silkscreen. The piece is then bisque fired and carefully glazed. It is then fired to cone 6 (2225F) and ready to use.
